RYA Youth sailing
Hi All,
Craig Bond of Brightlingsea Sailing Club is running RYA Youth Sailingcourses over 4 days this summer. This format of intensive training means
that the Sea Scouts progress far more quickly and have the opportunity to
achieve a higher grade than what we have been able to offer in the past, on
the Stour. Added to that, sailing at Brightlingsea can be great fun and they will learn
so much more in tidal waters. Having had training myself with Craig, I can
say he is a very good instructor. RYA Stages 1-4 are being run on 5th to 8th June and again on 13th to 16th
August. They also run Start Racing on 30th July to 2nd August. I've attached the booking form below. Please note that Sea Scouts will not
be taking bookings or payments, neither will we be making transport
arrangements. Any car sharing would need to be sorted out amongst
yourselves. We are just introducing you to a good sailing school. Kind Regards, Graeme

What a night, the hall was full, everyone seemed to be having a good time and what's more we have made a roaring profit of £1,159.84.

Bag Packing Letter
Dear Parent/Guardian
We are looking for help with bag-packing at Waitrose on Good Friday. Sea Scouts have been assigned by the Scout Group a slot on Friday 6th April from 9:00am to 1:00pm. As many of you know this is an excellent fundraiser and typically brings in £1000 per session but we can’t run it without volunteers. It will be good to see as many Sea Scouts there as possible.
